Currently, there are few structured physical activity programs in primary schools in Masindi. Children spend long hours in the classroom. Not enough time is given to children to refresh their minds by playing and having fun.  Many  educators in the district do not realize the benefits of these things in a child's development. They don't understand that play can enhance a child's motivation and ability to learn.

Like many children in Africa, our young children in the schools or even at home, often grow up without much guidance & support. Many times they are simply left on their own. Most children end up dropping out of school; then they get into trouble.

This program's focus is to provide children in Masindi  with valuable skills, giving them self-esteem and identity through playing sports and having fun.  Students who participated in the after-school program, had better classroom behavior and were better organized than children who did not participate.
